Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the CAPALEX TEAM!
Aluminium alloy 6005 is a medium strength commercial alloy, it has a higher strength than alloys 6063 and 6060, but is harder to extrude. 6005 has good weldability and corrosion resistance. Although suitable for anodizing it will not provide a good finish as with 6060 & 6063.
Aluminium alloy 6005 is often used in transport, structural engineering eg. Railways and precision engineering, furniture and ladder, tubes and sections.
Aerospace materials are covered by the āLā series of British standards.
