6060 Alloy Data Sheet

Introduction

Aluminium alloy 6060 is a general commercial alloy, and is the most commonly used. It is very suitable for anodizing, so provides extra protection if needed, and a decorative finish, especially useful for applications such as lighting and architectural sections.

Applications

Aluminium alloy 6060 is commonly used for architectural sections for windows, doors, curtain walls, interior fittings, lighting, furniture and office equipment, structural applications where surface finish is important.

Aerospace materials are covered by the ā€˜Lā€™ series of British standards.
